When I started this company, I was thinking about retirement. The idea emerged during the pandemic, and The Leelanau Puzzle Company was formed. I thought this was a great way for me to get my creative work in front of a different audience. The puzzles were warmly received in Leelanau County, but shortly after I started the company, I moved to Jacksonville. It’s taken four years, but I am fully settled and able to give LPC some much-needed attention. So, while I continue to teach and share my passion for the arts, I will be managing the company from Florida.

About Our Puzzles:
Jigsaw puzzles have long been a cultural object in the United States. Assembling a puzzle is a wonderful way to spend time with friends and family while keeping your cognitive abilities sharp. In a time when most Americans spend many hours in front of some type of screen, puzzling is a great way to take a step away from our busy lives and refocus our attention.
The Leelanau Puzzle Company is dedicated to creating high-quality jigsaw puzzles with high-quality images. We offer a variety of puzzles, and our inventory includes 99-piece, 500-piece, and 1000-piece puzzles.
The 500 and 1000-piece puzzles feature a variety of images from Leelanau County, Michigan. Newer releases feature images from Scotland and Ireland, as well as an illustration from artist Pamela Ayres.
Our 99-piece “cottage puzzles” are designed as an evening activity, or family recreation, or for when you don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to building a puzzle. Our cottage puzzles are suitable for kids, and two of the designs are learning-based.
We also offer two “challenge puzzles,” which are more advanced and designed to engage a higher level of cognition. The way the colors and patterns are presented, these puzzles are cognitively more challenging and geared more for advanced puzzlers who wish to challenge themselves.
